To replicate the challenge of maneuvering a stone block that went into the building of the pyramids, you will need to lift two-and-a-half tons. Two types of lever have been used: the `[I 032 / hockey stick]' and the straight. The [N 003 / straight lever] is the simplest to construct since it can be made entirely of wood. However, the `hockey stick' requires metal cladding to overcome the inherent weakness of the fulcrum point.
